²² Immediately^(A) he^[a] made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds.

²² One day he and his disciples got into a boat,^(A) and he told them, “Let’s cross over to the other side of the lake.”^(B) So they set out,

¹⁵ Therefore, when Jesus realized that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king,^(A) he withdrew again to the mountain by himself.

¹⁶ When^(B) evening came, his disciples went down to the sea, ¹⁷ got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum.^(C) Darkness had already set in, but Jesus had not yet come to them.
