¹⁹ Look, I have given you the authority^(A) to trample^(B) on snakes^(C) and scorpions^(D) and over all the power of the enemy; ^(E) nothing at all will harm you.^{(F) 20} However, don’t rejoice that^[a] the spirits ^(G) submit to you,^(H) but rejoice that your names are written^(I) in heaven.”

The Son Reveals the Father

²¹ At that time^(J) he^[b] rejoiced in the Holy^[c] Spirit^(K) and said, “I praise^[d] you, Father,^(L) Lord of heaven and earth,^(M) because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent^(N) and revealed them to infants.^(O) Yes, Father, because this was your good pleasure.^[e](P)
