³¹ I didn’t know him,^(A) but I came baptizing with water so that he might be revealed^(B) to Israel.”

Jesus’s Third Appearance to the Disciples

21 After this, Jesus revealed^(A) himself again to his disciples by the Sea of Tiberias.^[a](B) He revealed himself in this way:

¹⁴ This was now the third time^(A) Jesus appeared^[a](B) to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

⁴ When Christ, who is your^[a] life, appears,^(A) then you also will appear with him in glory.^(B)

⁴ And when the chief Shepherd^(A) appears, you will receive the unfading crown^(B) of glory.

God’s Children

²⁸ So now, little children, remain in him so that when he appears^(A) we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming.^(B)

⁵ You know that he was revealed so that he might take away sins,^[a](A) and there is no sin in him.^(B)

⁸ The one who commits^[a] sin is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God^(A) was revealed^(B) for this purpose: to destroy the devil’s works.
