Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends. 25 (A)When Peter entered, Cornelius met him and, falling at his feet, paid him homage. 26 Peter, however, raised him up, saying, “Get up. I myself am also a human being.”

- 10:24–27 So impressed is Cornelius with the apparition that he invites close personal friends to join him in his meeting with Peter.
