Exodus 31:16-18
1599 Geneva Bible
16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, that they may observe the [a]rest throughout their generations for an everlasting Covenant.
17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever: (A)for in six days the Lord made the heaven and the earth, and in the seventh day [b]he ceased and rested.
18 Thus (when the Lord had made an end of communing with Moses upon mount Sinai) (B)he gave him two Tables [c]of the Testimony, even tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
