^2 (A)And ^(B)the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed.

¹⁸ Now ^(A)Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire. The smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and ^(B)the whole mountain trembled greatly.

^36 (A)Out of heaven he let you hear his voice, that he might discipline you. And on earth he let you see his great fire, and ^(B)you heard his words out of the midst of the fire.

A Kingdom That Cannot Be Shaken

¹⁸ For you have not come to ^(A)what may be touched, a blazing fire and darkness and gloom and a tempest

²⁹ for our ^(A)God is a consuming fire.
